Rarity of this edition: This 1982 item is one of the most unique design variants in the Spanish market from the late 20th century. Unlike the traditional rectangular boxes of that era, this commemorative square box offered a more compact layout for its components. .

Historical context: The Monopoly World Championship started in 1973. Over the years, it became a major tournament circuit. In 1982, the sixth World Championship took place in Washington D.C., where Jerome Dausman won the title. This passion for competitive play also reached Spain, where player Pedro Bernardo represented the country with great strategy. Distributors like Borrás launched unique editions, like this square box, to bring that competitive spirit into homes.
