Estimated print run: Around 5,000 units (a limited edition with restricted geographic distribution, focused mainly on the local market and commercial channels of the Region of Murcia during its release year). This variant belongs to the sought-after "second wave" of Spanish city editions, following in the footsteps of the format's absolute pioneers: Seville and Zaragoza (originally published in 2005).

Peculiarities of this edition and component quality: This highly sought-after variant stands out for a complete thematic redesign that transfers the classic real-estate mechanic to the city of Murcia. In terms of production and collecting value, it offers a series of exceptional physical and design details that set it notably apart from standard-era print runs: 

• Murcia city street layout: The game's property hierarchy fits perfectly with the city's real-world importance. The prized dark blue color (the most expensive spaces on the board) is occupied by the iconic Plaza Glorieta de España and Gran Vía Escultor Salzillo. The brown starting spaces are reserved for Paseo del Malecón and Avenida Infante Juan Manuel.

• Transport network and infrastructure: The classic railway spaces are reimagined as key logistics and transport hubs for the people of Murcia: San Andrés Bus Station, Carmen Train Station, one space uniquely dedicated to Murcia Taxis, and the now-defunct Murcia–San Javier Airport (which ceased its commercial activity in the region shortly after this edition was released, remaining reserved exclusively for military use, and was later replaced by the Region of Murcia International Airport in Corvera). 

• Local public utilities: The finance and utility spaces are also cleverly adapted. The Electric Company keeps a standard corporate graphic design, while the classic water utility space specifically becomes the Compañía de Aguas (an implicit nod to the local company EMUASA). 

• Hybrid card content: The game includes the complete, locally adapted Chance and Community Chest decks. While the front text describes purely Murcian situations, landmarks, and anecdotes, the back of the cards received no personalization at all, keeping Hasbro's generic graphic design of the era intact (the classic red question mark and blue chest), identical to any other standard edition. 

• Banknotes of undetermined origin: This edition's paper money doesn't feature any printed year on its design. It's a generic standard Hasbro banknote model that the distributor included without applying any kind of local personalization or adaptation. 

• Premium container case: Breaking away from the usual fixed thermoformed compartments, this generation includes a high-transparency cast acrylic box with the official Monopoly logo embossed on it. This standalone case works as an independent protective organizer to safeguard the banknotes and bank cards from scuffing. 

• Expanded token volume: Compared to the 8 metal tokens usually included in mass-market boards of the era, this commemorative edition raises the figure, offering a total of 10 official die-cast metal tokens (including classic figures such as the thimble, the top hat, or the race car). 

• Internal structure and logistics: The green plastic tray insert for organizing the banknotes works as a completely separate, removable tray from the main box, making it easier to manage the bank at the game table. The houses and hotels keep the classic, durable rigid plastic format with a chimney shape. 

• Elongated documentation format: The instruction manual moves away from the classic square format to be presented as an elegant booklet laid out in an elongated shape. As an added value for the historical archive, its opening pages include a brief historical and cultural overview of the city of Murcia, closing the document with an exclusive full-page photo montage.
