Monopoly London Olympic Games edition (2012)

Packaging format: Standard rectangular box (official London 2012 design).

Distribution: As an officially licensed product, this edition, developed by Winning Moves, was distributed on a massive scale in Olympic venue gift shops and major British department stores such as Harrods and Hamleys, becoming an object of international collecting interest from day one.

Condition: Sealed.

Peculiarity of this edition: Although it isn't the first Olympic Monopoly in history (that honor belongs to the Atlanta 1996 edition), this London 2012 version is the first one entirely centered on the infrastructure, venues, and pavilions of a single modern host city.

• Tokens: Includes 6 commemorative metal pieces (a double-decker bus, a Palace Guard, a telephone box, a London taxi, an Underground train, and the official mascot Wenlock).

• Properties: Instead of houses and hotels, it includes white Stands and red Stadia. The banknotes feature the official Olympic logo at the center, and it also includes the official red speed die to speed up the pace of the competitions on the board.

• "Heats" and "Finals" cards: The classic Chance and Community Chest cards are transformed into Heats and Finals, adapting the events to a sports context.

Since this is an edition preserved in its native state, Factory Sealed (sealed from the factory), still under its original cellophane, I use archival and/or private images to be able to show the interior.
